The lockplate is excellent with Springfield 1825 marked to the rear of the plate and an excellent eagle US markings in the middle. Appears to have a chip repair to the wood in the nipple bolster area. Amazing this gun has no cracks in the wrist area as it is 13 pounds. Really a great rifle.
